CONTEST THEME:

- The PSMBFI National Photography Contest will adopt the theme Para Sa ’Yo Kabalikat: “Mukha ng Kabayanihan” (Faces of Heroism) Photo Contest.
- Photographs should be able to showcase the role or function of the public safety agency in line with the concept of heroism.
- Entries must strictly adhere to the competition’s theme.
CATEGORIES:
The contest shall have two (2) categories.

- First Category. For office/unit participants from the Philippine National Police.
- Second Category. For offices representing the uniformed and non- uniformed/civilian partner agencies of PSMBFI.
CONTEST DURATION:
a) PSMBFI will start accepting entries through google form Faces of Heroism Photo Contest 2025 from all partner agencies from September 27 to October 17, 2025.
b) All entries will be sent through the designated microsite xxxxxx.
WHO CAN JOIN:
a) Participants must be a PSMBFI who will represent their agency or office/unit representing partner agencies (PNP, BFP PCG, BuCor, PNPA, BI, OTS, MMDA, LTO, NAMRIA, PPSC, NAPOLCOM, DENR, PDEA, LTFRB, SBMA)
b) PSMBFI employees are disqualified from joining the contest.
SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES:
a) A partner agency is allowed to submit photos coming from their various offices/units.
b) Participating office/unit must state the full name of their sender-representative, including his/her designation, and attached scanned/photocopy of the office ID. Also the full address, phone number, and e-mail address of the participating office/unit.
c) Entries must be in full color. Photos in Black and White or Sepia are not allowed.
d) Entries to be submitted must have a corresponding “photo title” and “photo caption”. The caption must indicate details such as the incident and place where the image was taken, and must have a description of what the photo is about.
e) Deadline for the online submission of entries is on October 17, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. PSMBFI will no longer accept entries after due date.
PHOTGRAPH/IMAGE REQUIREMENTS:
a) Photographs should be in digital format/file.
b) Only photos/images submitted that are clear and not pixelated/distorted shall be accepted.
c) Photographs should have no watermark and identifying mark on the images.
d) The photograph may be taken using either a digital or film camera. All digital files must be at least 300 dpi and saved in JPEG or JPG format. Entries captured using high-resolution mobile phones will also be accepted, provided that the image will not pixelate or distort when enlarged. MD shall print the submitted photo.
e) Photographs to be submitted to the PSMBFI Photography Contest may be taken before or after the official launch of the contest.
DISQUALIFICATIONS:
The following are disqualified if:
a) Photographs that are digitally enhanced or altered for creative purposes. Altered images refer to photographs manipulated and applied with special effects or artificial intelligence (colonizing, toning, collage, photo composites, stitched panoramas, high dynamic range or HDR images, etc.). Only minor adjustments in the color, sharpness, contrast or digital equivalents are acceptable.
b) Photographs that have been previously submitted in other contest, including those photos which have won in any local or international photography contest.
c) Photographs bearing images of public officials, celebrities, and commercial endorsers.
d) Photographs bearing a PSMBFI logo/element/official/employee.
e) Photographs that violate a person’s rights including, but not limited to copyright and privacy.
f) Photographs that contain obscene, sexually explicit, offensive to the senses, discriminatory, or any other objectionable or inappropriate content.
UNDERTAKINGS OF THE CONTEST PARTICIPANTS:
By participating in the “Para Sa ’Yo Kabalikat: Mukha ng Kabayanihan (Faces of Heroism)” Photo Contest, the participating agency/office/unit acknowledges and attests that:
a) The photograph/s do not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.
b) The submitted image is a single work of original material created and taken solely by the participant or participating office;
c) The contest participant is responsible for securing — prior to submission of the entry – a formal consent from persons used as subjects of the photo, if the image contains any material or element that is not the participant’s property, or if any person appears in the photo. For minors that are captured or photographed in the submitted entry, the contest participant must obtain a written consent from the minor’s parents/legal guardians. PSMBFI should not – in any way – be held responsible for the contest participant’s inability to secure the necessary permission or consent for their submitted entries.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:
The decision of the judges during the judging are not appealable. The entries shall be judged based on the following criteria:

FINAL JUDGING DAY:
a) The qualified entries shall be for display at the PSMBFI Ground Floor Main Office.
b) Final judging will be on October 24, 2025 at 2:00 pm. During the final judging, the panel of judges will select the winners.
c) The winners shall be contacted by authorized PSMBFI representatives and names to be announced through various platforms.

OTHER PROVISIONS:
a) The winning and non-winning photo entries may be used in any PSMBFI information materials (flyers, calendars, tarpaulins, annual reports, visual presentations, etc).
b) PSMBFI shall have the intellectual property rights and exclusive use over the winning photos in perpetuity and the remaining non-winning photos for a period of two (2) years. During this period, only PSMBFI shall have the sole right to use, produce or reproduce, make imitative works of the photos for their various communication materials and for whatever purpose it may be deemed fit by PSMBFI without further compensation to the artist, his heirs and assignees.
c) By submitting their entries to the PSMBFI National Photography Competition, all contest participants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless PSMBFI and its employees, officers, directors, and representatives from any claims, losses, and damages arising out of their participation in this Contest.
d) PSMBFI has the right to verify the validity and originality of any submitted photo entry and/or contest participant (including the contestant’s identity and address). PSMBFI also reserves the right to disqualify any contest participant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with the contest’s Official Rules or who tampers with the entry process.
e) By joining this competition, the contest participants agree that their personal data may be used by PSMBFI for purposes of announcing to the general public updates on the outcome of the regional screening and grand finals, as well as for other PR and communication materials of the Association. The contest participants also agree that PSMBFI may opt to upload in its official website a gallery of the photos to be submitted for this contest.
